The Perfect Integration of Form and FunctionV-MODA,
the music lifestyle brand that owes its allure to the fusion of fashion
and function, introduces its passion for music and style to the world
with our innovative line of "modaphones". The pinnacle experience of
music is interwoven with supreme style in these premium fashion-phones
that sound as amazing as they look. The Vibe series of earphones
comprises the signature example of the V-MODA line, combining for the
first time a meticulously-crafted sound signature with a conscious eye
towards modern design.
V-MODA's "Sculpted Sound Curve"V-MODA's
engineers spent over a year of the design phase crafting the perfect
sound signature of the Vibe series of headphones. Designed to mimic the
warm, sweet sound of hi-fi stereo speakers costing thousands of dollars
apiece, the curve remains amazingly straight with no bass roll-off which
delivers a smooth and detailed bass response. A sensitivity dip in the
500hz to 2kHz range accentuates the bass slightly and reproduces a warm
soundstage. The gentle dropoff in the high ranges was carefully designed
to avoid harsh or "clinical"-sounding highs, making the Vibes suitable
as in-ear monitors.
Editors' ratingThe good:
he stylish V-moda Vibe headphones amplify the audio from the sound
source, and they come with several fun or useful accessories. Overall
sound quality is very good.
The bad: The V-moda Vibe headphones are a bit overpowering on the low-end; may be uncomfortable for some users.
The bottom line:The V-moda Vibe headphones are a great option for style-conscious bass-addicts looking for some worthy portable headphones.

Better than Bose, August 12, 2008
The
last pair of headphones I owned was the Bose TriPort headphones (the
ones that go over the ear and fit around them) and I am so very
impressed at the fact that these little buds are more powerful than
these massive cans! I was a little skeptical at first because 'V-moda,
who the *$%# are these guys?' But my Bose garbagephones left channel
quit working after 6 months of use. As I looked at the flimsy rubber
that connected the cord to the jack, it reminded me exactly like a pair
of headphones for $2.99 on the clearance rack. No wonder they stopped
working, they are built like garbage! I saw the cord design of the
V-Moda's and I thought "now this makes sense, a straight plug held
together by metal housing!". The colors match my iPod's case, they are
tiny, and extremely lightweight. Even at first use I was blown away by
the quality of sound, the bass is extremely powerful; a much more
powerful punch than the Bose, but not so powerful to the point where it
distorts any midrange and highs. The soundstage is completely
enveloping; the moment I put these headphones on, they fit perfectly in
my ears and sucked out a good chunk of outside noise (not perfectly
isolating, but adequate for quality sound, better than the Bose). Upon
first wearing them, they felt uncomfortable at first, almost a painful
uncomfortable, but I just needed to change the fitting to the next size
up, then no problems. They say that you have to 'burn them in' by
letting them run for 12 hours, After using them for about 6, the sound
is getting better and better. The bass at first is overpowering, but the
mids and treble start mixing themselves in and you get a perfect blend
of truly blissful sound. The soundstage of the bose over-the-ear
headphones had space to resonate around the ear, and that created a
unique soundstage, but bass notes at certain frequencies felt
inconsistent, by comparison to the Vibes, the sound is
straight-to-the-cranium intense. Sound is very incredible, perfect for
portable music players. Other, more expensive headphones obviously will
get a more 'genuine' sound, but I couldn't imagine what more you could
want when using an MP3 player.

unbeatable sound for the price, August 19, 2010
Bought
these to repalce the v-Moda bass freq that i broke on a plane. The
sound quality is even better than those headphones. Specifically, the
bass is not as pronounced as with the other phones i had. The fit and
finish of the ear plugs is very good once you decide on the correct
surrounds, and they do block most outside noise out. If you currently
use any of the standard ipod headphones, replacing them with these will
really make a very noticeable difference. To even approach this sound
quality you would need to spend at least $150 to $200 with other brands
such as Shure or Beats or Bose. The ear plugs are very small so care has
to be taken with inserting and removing them so the wires are not
pulled on. Once in however they are not very noticeable due to thier
size.
